Needs more background info....[edit]

I came across this article as a link from the main Interpol article, and I think it needs a lot more info about what the specific significance of these cases are, and what exactly ties them together....

Like are they thought to be the work of a single serial killer? Or a single gang?...

22 murders in three countries over the course of nearly 50 years isn't exactly a huge number, so simply as a murder rate these killings wouldn't be especially notable. Of course this is just the subset of murders taht are unsolved, and where the victims are female, but still.

....It's not clear what separates these particular killings from other unsolved murders with female victims in, say, France, Italy, Spain, and other European countries during the same period....Or, for that matter, from other killings in these same countries before 1976.
