Why do we need to know the number of seats in a polling article?
What benefit is it to readers who are looking for polling numbers to know the number of seats, and to include that information in headings as in this edit? Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:14, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- Agreed that the seat number should not be in heading. Just wanted to show some perspective when, for example, the conservatives poll at 70% in Alberta or the Liberals poll 50% in Toronto. Obviously these seat numbers could be looked up elsewhere. I just thought that the seat number per province would be in the reader's thoughts when looking at this data. I realize that in most cases, both the pros and cons of an edit can be argued to death, and I am not going to insist that my edit remain. I will defer to a more experienced editor who thinks it is unnecessary.MicroManagingAH (talk) 00:21, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- That might be good to raise in a prose section between the heading and the table, or even after the table. Even the percentage isn't a guarantee of seats though. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:50, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
