Unanswered Questions[edit]

I assume osmeterium is an uncommon word as there is only 1 species known to have them. Any clues on pronounciate? Chrishibbard7 (talk) 19:13, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Disturbing picture[edit]

Maybe it's just me, but the picture of the caterpillar getting squeezed makes me uncomfortable. I think we should find a better picture. Further points of research[edit]

After rewriting the page, I think that there is still work needed on

  • The mechanism of evertion
  • Whether parasitoid wasps and flies are also repelled
  • color and form of the organs of various species Viren (talk) 17:20, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

Add plural form[edit]

The title of this article should also reflect the plural form, osmeteria. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1011:B146:BBEC:8090:E59A:ABE:B15D (talk) 22:51, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
