The title does not correspond with the content of the article. If you say that Dahomey was part of the entity, you need to call it the Oyo empire. The kingdom is a more restrained geographical entity, encompassing only the places where Oyo Ile had more direct political influence or where they justified their rule by reference to the common ancestry from Ile Ife. --Domberlic 22:56, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. It was originally titled "Oyo Empire". All the books I have on the subject refer to it as Oyo Empire. It controlled Dahomey, small states along the delta and waged wars as far as modern Togo. If this wasn't an empire I don't know what is.Scott Free 01:26, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
