Notable Entries?

[edit]

On July 1, 2007, Daniel Cardenas removed a number of PPM references, citing that some were "less notable" than others. May I ask, is Daniel an expert on all things PPM? How would one determine notability of different PPM meanings w/o doing lengthy studies on each and every one? What criteria does one person use to determine "notability" of subjects not in their field? Google hits?

I'm afraid there is nobody on the planet who can adequately determine "notability" of each and every use of the acronym "PPM" (or any popular acronym, for that matter). As such, I suggest that any listing of PPM be maintained w/o removal if it can be shown in usage (somewhere, anywhere), is not advertising or overtly commercial, is encyclopedic in nature, and does not violate Wikipedia conventions.

If Daniel, or anyone else, wants to remove PPM listings from this list, they should explain exactly why they are doing it, and by what criteria they are using.

Organization

[edit]

Can we get someone to add categories to this page? Similar to other "Could refer to..." pages - Computing, Science, People; as required.

It used to be like that, until it was changed to the present format on 18 June 2010. There aren't enough entries to justify categorisation, IMHO. There were several headings with only one entry, and any such taxonomy is arbitrary anyway. It didn't make entries easier to find. I say leave it as it is.--Harumphy (talk) 10:06, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
we can also decrease the amount of categories. I added a few. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.203.160.34 (talk) 06:59, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
