Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is in fact a piece of New Zealand's history. Parents Centres New Zealand is a not for profit entity and this page details its early beginnings and current work. Could I please be advised which part of the article is seen as being ambiguously promotional. Elliecater (talk) 23:25, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed a great deal of POV and promotionally-tinged material. Please remember that encyclopedic articles should strictly avoid promotion, commentary and polemic. Acroterion (talk) 00:02, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this. The publication referred to is not, as referred to by one of your editors,'self published' - 'The Trouble With Women' is a long standing publication and a historical account of the struggle that New Zealand faced in overhauling maternity services in the 1950's and 1960's. Much of the detail posted in this article can also be verified via www.parentscentre.org.nz 122.59.207.239 (talk) 00:41, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps the ref is formatted incorrectly to show the Centre's website as the source for the info. GregJackP Boomer! 00:46, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
