"Mercy"
[edit]In the U.S., the hand-bending game that doesn't use cards is called Mercy – it's not just a coloquialism of the English Midlands. Where do people call it Peanut's? The apostrophe before the "s" is interesting...Morganfitzp 17:40, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
"Peanut's" Game
[edit]I agree with the above, Surly its not the game belonging to peanut, its just called Peanuts, because that is the word you shout to "give in".
Also, I think the "hand-bending game" is more popular than the described card game, and therefore should perhaps have its own article...
Are there other games you can play with your hands?
Also do we have any citation or references for this game?
- I created the article Mercy (game). It could use some beefing up. As for other hand games, we played numerous games as kids that involved the slapping of other people's hands in various competitively sadististic manifestations. I'll shop around... Morganfitzp 03:19, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Merge into Nertz
[edit]This is really just a minor variation on (if at all, mostly just another name for) the established Nertz game. I propose changing this page to a disambiguation page between the torture type game and the card game Nertz. samadam (talk) 19:29, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Tableau Piles: 4 vs. 7
[edit]I've always played Peanuts with 7 tableau piles, and Nertz with 4, has this article confused the two? Digitect (talk) 00:02, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
