History section

[edit]

I think that most of the section "History" can be removed and maybe put in a separate article on the history of Lusitania. It is not strictly pertinent to Piggy history. --Gandalf 05:56, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In-universe Style

[edit]

The same user has twice reverted the fiction-as-fact tag. Please read the style guide instead of reverting again, as you will see that this article is a blatant example of bad, in universe-style. Take the first sentence in the body of the the article: The pequeninos exhibit an extreme case of sexual dimorphism, combined with the unique plant/animal symbiosis that characterizes all life in their native planet of Lusitania.. This sentence reads as though it were describing objects and places that actually exist. The entire rest of the article is just like this example.

Noting that this page refers to a work of fiction at very the beginning of the article does not make this okay. In fact, the style guide specifically addresses this: Notice how the prose is careful to label the subject as fictional, only to proceed to describe the character as if he were real for the remainder of the paragraph. Instead, the lead section and the whole article should persist with its out-of-universe view of the character. The style guide then goes on to give lengthy examples of how to properly/improperly describe works of fiction.

Seriously, this article needs to be cleaned up. Sorry if this hurts somebody's feelings, but the tag's gotta stay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.160.112 (talkcontribs) 04:08, February 8, 2007

requesting move to pequeniños

[edit]

In the book, it is spelled Pequeniños. Since wikipedia has no problem using characters such as ñ in page titles, I recommend a page move, or at least a redirect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.65.118.214 (talk) 18:34, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
