Merge
Peruvian visual arts should be merged into this larger, established article covering the history of Peruvian art - AKeen 21:22, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Why?????? I don't like the idea, size doesn't matter.--Andersmusician $ 22:41, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Support. Peruvian visual arts are unequivocally considered part of Peruvian arts, and should be merged into the same article. Chiwara 13:35, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Support. Good idea. --Jbmurray 11:08, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Clarification
I just made some large edits to the article - I changed the centuries to English conventions (which use Arabic numerals, while Spanish ones use Roman numerals), and I also unlinked the dates in keeping with Wikipedia policy. I also took out a few sentences where I was totally unclear as to the meaning. Could I get some clarification on these:
"The arrival of the Spaniards moved, not without violence, the native artistic conceptions, although in many cases, it made some enriching mestizations too."
"The artistic crossbreeding was more intense in the pictorial creation. This crossbreeding gathered, without ambages, the native heritage and materialized, without incisions, the historical continuity."
Thanks!Chiwara 15:24, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Goodness knows what these sentences mean exactly. This article's a mess. Be bold and improve it! --jbmurray (talk|contribs) 08:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Commercial material
I have removed the "most popular brands section" because
- It was unreferenced
- It was borderline commercial, in and of itself
- It provided opportunity for a repeat spammer.
If this is considered an important section of this article, I would suggest expanding and referencing it, in order to discourage spamming. Jackollie (talk) 00:49, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Merger proposal
I propose that Peruvian handicraft be merged into Peruvian art. The "handicraft" article is an undeveloped stub and lists different folk art forms, which still easily fall under the aegis of Peruvian art, an article which still needs to be developed further. - Since no objections have been voiced in the past week, I'll make the merge. -Uyvsdi (talk) 18:59, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Uyvsdi
