Talk:Phetch

Someone has proposed to delete this article because the program is not notable enough. The author of this program is notable enough to have his own page. Other programs he has written have articles. This particular program is different enough, and unique enough to IMHO merit an article. A cogent collection of Games with a purpose is a significant addition to Wikipedia, IMHO.
One could argue that Phetch should be discussed within a larger article. That is a conversation we can have. I am unhappy that the last several articles I have written for Wikipedia have all eventually been deleted. It dampens my enthusiasm for Wikipedia. Bits are cheap. Let's have a good discussion. Also, can you talk more about this evidence of notability issue? Is there a page on Wikipedia talking about that? KellyCoinGuy (talk) 06:54, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
I would note that searching for Phetch on Google results in 8000 hits. 80% of the hits on the first page relate to this program, even though it appears that Phetch is a surname in some Asian country. This program is referenced in a lot of places. There are hundreds of links to the PDF article. This program was described on a Nova now program. I think it's plenty notable for these reasons.
