I'm curious as to why this very unneeded comment was allowed into the entry...

Thus far, there have been no African American Pink Rangers, though Adelle from "Power Rangers in Space" pretended to be the Pink Space Ranger in order to protect the real Power Rangers in "Countdown to Destruction"

There doesn't seem to be any truly logical reason for the inclusion of this comment, other than to promote racial tensions, thus I have elected to remove it.

There has been a Black Power Ranger for many years now and I'm assuming that the TV shows directors and producers simply elected to not have the Black character be portrayed by a Female and instead chose a Black Male. Simple logistics and TV ratings probably steered their decision on this matter. Since I'm not familiar with the Creators/Directors on a personal level, I cannot truly say what may have caused them to choose this decision, but it was theirs to make and not yours or mine.

The Wiki staff may feel otherwise about this situation, and may or may not re-edit this comment entry and include it again. If this is done, please post a reply as to why this comment should be included, as it seems unneccesary and seeks to only promote racial tensions.

Also, the term "African-American" is a Misnomer. Unless the individual was actually born in Africa and they became an American citizen, they are NOT an African-American. They are a Black American. This "politically correct" term is overly-used too often by the uniformed public and the general media in hopes of not "stepping on anyone's toes". As someone who has met people who are actually from Africa on numerous occassions, they will clearly tell you that they are NOT African-Americans, but are Africans who now live in the United States of America. There is a difference. Please help to stop the use of this incorrect term.

"African-American" is used in the States as a politically correct way to refer to people of African descent, i.e. black people. The phrase is being used to state "There have been no Pink Rangers with dark skin."—Ryūlóng () 21:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ryulong, yet again you have chosen to re-paste the same comment into the listing. My question to you is: Exactly why are doing this? Is it Spite? Anger? Racial Pride/Hatred? Or is it just simply because you're bored and have nothing better to do?

Also, you quoted the term "African-American" with a hyphen. Clearly you have read the debate located here on Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_American) about using the Hyphen/not using the Hyphen, using/not using the term AA, and so on? This name alone is under much debate about Black Americans right now, especially in the Southern states of the USA. Not all "Blacks" wish to be called "African American". Please do not assume this in any way.

You also made the statement "There have been no Pink Rangers with dark skin." Sure you do not think that Black Americans/Africans/African Americans/African-Americans are the ONLY race with dark skin?? You're comment is blatantly incorrect as there are many people who are "White", "Asian", "Middle Eastern", "Hispanic", and of "Mixed" races who have dark skin and are NOT "Black/African/African American/African-American".

I also noticed that you did NOT list that there has never been an: "American-Indian" Pink Ranger, or an "Indian (from India)" Pink Ranger, or a "Vietnamese" Pink Ringer, or an "Indigenous Australian Aborigine" Pink Ranger, and so on and so forth. Why did you leave these races out? By adding the inclusion of just the Black race into the listing and NOT including the others races mentioned above (plus numerous others), you are clearly admitting to being a racist.

In closing; Your debate of this inclusion is pointless and merely seeks to promote racial tension where none is wanted nor needed. I have removed the offending comment, yet again, and wish for it to please stay that way. This comment does not belong in this posting, as it serves no true purpose for the reader other than to spread racism. —RoninDH

First, WP:AGF. Second, I've always written it as "African-American" and Wikipedia has a redirect for that purpose. Third, I will not reply to that. Fourth, it is just something that has occurred, because there are nearly always a black actor in the series, and this person has never been the Pink Ranger; the other nationalities that you mention have appeared, but they are not common for the series. Fifth, there is no "racial tension" anywhere in this article that you cite. There is no spreading of racism. It is like saying "There has never been an African American President of the United States." That is also a true statement (unless Barack Obama wins the next election). Your reasons for it not being there is pointless, as I originally saw that the text was changed, and I put it back to an original version (there was never any citation of racism because the statement was false). Please just stop bringing this up. It is not that important.—Ryūlóng () 03:45, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ronin, please do assume good faith and WP:NPA and do not call other people racist. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 03:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sexism[edit]

I'm wondering -- I read on the Yellow Ranger page: Also, there have not been any Asian American Yellow Rangers since Trini, as some people considered it racist as Asian people are usually depicted as yellow-skinned (this correlation was noted by the segment on Power Rangers in VH1's I Love the '90s).

If producers are worried about racism then why not other forms of discrimination? Why, in this day and age, can they not allow a heterosexual male to be a Ranger and wear pink? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.196.184.157 (talk) 00:40, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Wild Force note[edit]

I feel the note on this page about Wild Force's White Ranger shall be removed. It is: In Power Rangers: Wild Force, there is no Pink Ranger per se, but Alyssa Enrilé is the White Tiger Ranger and her costume has pink accents. Mythdon (talk) 02:11, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:14, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

candid?[edit]

What are "candid weapons"? 184.77.159.253 (talk) 23:07, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That is a very good question.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:19, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
