While this article is short, I intend to improve it. It describes an important topic, and there is plenty of information out there. This is my first article, so thanks for your patientce. Stargate70 01:31, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The citation seems to contradict the definition. - Redmess (talk) 18:37, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Surfacism

[edit]

I added today the following section and it got reverted due to WP not being a dictionary, but I dont think my entry was dictionary-like. I am open for discussion, but on the reasons given I do not see a revert justified. @Fountains of Bryn Mawr:

>Surfacism<
The somewhat similar term surfacism has been introduced to name a surface bound and territorial focus of space advocacy, particularly for space colonization such as of Mars, in contrast to atmospheric interest and presence such as off Venus.[1]

Here an aditional reference and the original use: [2] Nsae Comp (talk) 19:09, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PS: the first reference is a NASA astrobiologist and the latter source is citing a popular science program by PBS. Nsae Comp (talk) 19:51, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have found in the course of my reference search a earlier and even more established simliar term by Thomas Gold. See my addition. I hope this makes it also possible to mention the other term of "surfacism". Sadly the surfacism sources do not state if they have Gold in mind, but possibly so, but that can be left unassumed obviously. Nsae Comp (talk) 21:00, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
