"the north polar high being the stronger one because land gains and loses heat more effectively than sea, which the north have much less of."

This sentence is extremely puzzling, and I strongly suspect that it's meant to read that the -south- polar high is the stronger one. The only source provided for this article (or the version I find on the wayback machine) does not make any reference to this statement either way. I will mark this as citation needed until I find some reliable source to either corroborate or correct the statement. 107.77.237.109 (talk) 16:55, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Examining the history of the page, I realised that the original version of the claim of which polar high is strongest was in fact indicating the south polar high as strongest but that a later modification switched the south to north without citation or explanation of any kind (and the author of the modification has no other contribution to Wikipedia). I switched the claim back to 'south' and added a citation that indicates that the south polar vortex is stronger than the northern one. A bit of a cheat, but I simply cannot find a better source at the moment. 107.77.237.109 (talk) 17:42, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
