Assessment

[edit]

A small stub article that needs references and more details about the school itself. Could also include a picture and info-box. Camaron1 | Chris 19:20, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

I have removed the PROD tag. Although primary schools are not generally notable this particular one seems to have a number of notable features. It is a Beacon School, it was classified as outstanding in its recent OFSTED inspection, and it has won a national award for its programme for gifted and talented pupils. It also has an interesting ethnic make-up. The article appears to have been written by an American with no knowledge of the British education system. The article needs improving not deleting. The argument is sound - I put the PROD on it due the schools apparent lack of notability, though it does appear you are right that this school does have some unique features. The problem is the article has not been edited for months before now, perhaps for the time being, a merge to Portswood would work. Or at least something on the school be put in the article, as it currently does not have anything on it at all. Camaron1 | Chris 09:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think if someone has the time it might well be possible to write a reasonable article on this school, based on the information in the OFSTED report. It should also be possible to add sources such as this one about the school's gifted and talented programme. Dahliarose 15:11, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have linked the school article from the Portswood article, hopefully that will solve the orphan issue and encourage expansion. Camaron1 | Chris 16:36, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
