A Shooter?

[edit]

Since when is Project Offset a shooter game?

It says it right here - http://www.projectoffset.com/game.html --Pkaulf 20:32, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Media, CD?

[edit]

Is this game really coming on CD's? I don't know about the US, but I would guess the game would be like 7-8 CD's. Can it be confirmed or anything? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Psykocyber (talkcontribs) 18:43, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would think it safe to assume the game would not be on CD. 192.136.15.130 (talk) 18:57, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
DVD's are pretty much standard nowadays. I wouldn't expect to buy this game and find myself holding a spindle of discs. --Magus05 (talk) 07:14, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

News

[edit]

Has there been any news on the game lately? 192.136.15.130 (talk) 18:57, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PS3

[edit]

Is there a reason why its not being developed on the PS3 platform? 192.136.15.130 (talk) 18:57, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the reason is important. It isn't, and that is enough. Whether it is the PS3's limitations or an exclusive deal or whatever, it doesn't really matter. It will come out on Microsoft's two platforms, Windows and Xbox 360. 142.165.59.39 (talk) 23:45, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is complete speculation, and has no verifiable truth to it - but I believe that since this game is being made by so few people, with so little in terms of resources, they decided to avoid the PS3 because of it's severe learning curve. The machine itself is fully capable of running the game (if the 360 can), it's just harder to make it work. An exclusivity deal may be at fault as well, but I know for a fact that if I was doing something so technically advanced, I wouldn't want to impede my progress any more than I needed to. If the game does well, and there isn't an exclusive deal, you can expect it to be ported to the PS3. --Magus05 (talk) 07:12, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where did this information come from? You all seem pretty sure of yourselves, but there's no citation in the article indicating that it will not be released on PlayStation 3, and all of the major video game sites have it listed as also being released on PlayStation 3. I'm adding it as a platform for release unless someone can provide something reliable that contradicts those sites. --Kamasutra (talk) 21:41, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The official site used to have a FAQ that said the game was being developed for Xbox 360 and PC. Every once in a while I come to this page to see if they finally have a release date or new info. Today I was surprised to see PS3 was added to the list, and decided to check the official site to see if it was added to the list there. I was even more to find the list was removed from the official site. Before there was reason to believe it was not being developed for PS3, but now I don't know. Where did the info come from that it was? 24.72.113.212 (talk) 23:16, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know of a primary source that says it will be, but I could cite some of those sites if necessary until there is confirmation one way or another. I do know there was an article in PSM about the game a while ago, for whatever that's worth, but I've never actually read it. As it stands now, I can't even find a primary source claiming it will be released on Xbox 360. I wonder why they took down that FAQ as you claim. --Kamasutra (talk) 06:14, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. I looked all over the site wondering why they removed it. I have almost lost interest in this game because of the very slow developement and almost no info ever being released for it. 24.72.113.212 (talk) 03:05, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

World Record for Longest Time in Developement?

[edit]

I think this game has it... and by that I mean, is this game ever expected to be finished? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.165.59.39 (talk) 20:18, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That honor should probably go to Duke Nukem Forever, personally though I feel the Offset game might come out sometime 2008/2009. - Xedaf (talk) 21:29, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

nah, they are building it from scratch(ie engine), that always takes a while. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.12.137 (talk) 13:22, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
