Forest Parks and Conservation Areas[edit]

I'm not an expert on these things, but should Forest Parks really be referred to as Conservation Areas?

My understanding has been that Forest Park is usually an historic name obtained because a park emerged from the Forestry Service that was absorbed by DoC in 1987, but that Forest Parks are more or less equivalent to Conservation Areas, and newly created areas of this status are usually referred to as Conservation Areas. It needs verification though. Izogi (talk) 05:03, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
