Taxo-box picture
[edit]There is nothing to indicate at any of the cephalopods in the taxobox picture is a Cameroceras. The large blue orthocone could be one, or it could just as well be a Pseudorthoceras or Actinoceras. The four small redish brevicones might be oncocerids and the brownish exograstric gyrocones could be some sort of early tarphycerid, rutoceratids, or even another kind of oncocerid. All this aside, since Cameroceras is not a Proterocameroceratid in spite of the similarily of the names, why is it there in the first place. Certainly there must be a good illustration of a real proterocameroceratid somewhere
