Attempt to delete this disambiguation page[edit]

There has been an attempt by a user to delete this disambiguation page (under WP:G6) and redirect to Purple Mountain (Nanjing). While I am sure Purple Mountain (Nanjing) is a fine place, it is only one of the Purple Mountains that exist in the world (some of which have their own WP articles). In terms of a basic google search on Purple Mountain, the Nanjing version hardly registers. While I am not advocating for any particular Purple Mountain to become the "primary topic" of Purple Mountain, I am pretty sure it is not Purple Mountain (Nanjing).

It is also important given that it is becoming more common to create large "mountain list" articles that are automatically downloaded from shareable mountaineering databases (e.g. List of mountains of the British Isles by height), that mountain disambiguation pages like this one are preserved. Without the option of using the dab-solver tool to pick out the automatic links (created in the download) to the dab-pages, it would be impossible to identify situations where a given mountain has taken over a primary topic. I'm sure there are major (major) mountains that do deserve a position as the primary topic for their name, but there is none in the case of Purple Mountain.
