DISTRIBUTION
In the 1950s, I remember not only seeing purple hairstreaks in Los Angeles, California, but also collecting them there. My brother just sent me an E-mail message containing an attached photo of a female purple hairstreak that he photographed this week. He lives in Oakland, California.
