- Is thus a cofactor or a co-enzyme?? It's organic so shouldn't it be a co-enzyme
- coenzymes are organic, cofactors are not.

PLP-dependent enzymes

- Yeah I agree. I'll see if I can mock up some generic mechanism diagrams for decarboxylation and transamination reactions with PLP. It'll make it a lot clearer. This is a well studied and important coenzyme, and there should be much more on it here. Zoffoperskof 03:23, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
