Opposed PROD

Allow me to explain why I opposed the PROD:

Previously, the mission article was part of the original Quake 2 article as viable information. However, when the article became too bloated, it was outsourced to a separate article. While I do believe that the article could use a deletion or a merger, a PROD is not the best way to do this. It is a better idea to take the case to AfD, where the community as a collective can debate on the issue safely. I have no doubt that this would be considered a case of controversial deletion. That being said, I'm willing to hear an expanded argument based on policy and previous examples. If the argument stands well enough, I would not contest the deletion, under the exception that you grant enough time for me to preserve the information. I can think of a few communities that may benefit from this information.--WaltCip 14:45, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
