The link for the 'i' newspaper is very difficult to click[edit]
Any way around this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.253.69.42 (talk) 12:31, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
And The Independent?[edit]
The Independent is mentioned twice in the article but not included in the table. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samer.hc (talk • contribs)
- That's because the first paragraphs were written when the Independent was still printing on paper, while the table was added after it had moved to online-only. The Independent is still recognized as quality journalism, but that's a concept which would be better covered by a British equivalent to News media in the United States, which doesn't currently seem to exist.
- The closest I can find is Mass media in the United Kingdom, but that article is split up by medium and doesn't give a coherent view of British journalism as a whole. In fact, its "Newspapers" section basically duplicates the quality press article, except that it does include the Independent in its table as a "former broadsheet newspaper". But it doesn't include equally-respected sources like BBC News, which has never published on paper, but which is now in the same category as the Independent for many practical purposes. So there's a lot of scope for improvement here. Smyth (talk) 12:36, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
