[edit]I note that the merge proposal was started without a case being made. Nevertheless, I think that the case is fairly straightforward, merging a protein and its corresponding gene. The only contentious point is direct. I suggest merging the gene page to the protein page given that it's the older page, and the content of the gene page is already written to focus on the protein ... that it, it starts with All-trans-retinol 13,14-reductase is an enzyme ...
