Cleanup

[edit]

I removed some entries that are dictionary entries, not needed in a disambig page:

  • A run is a New Zealand term for a landholding corresponding to a ranch.
  • A run is a small enclosure used for the exercise of (normally caged) domesticated rodents such as rabbits and guinea pigs. This term typically refers to a small patch of grass.
  • In public transportation, run is frequently used to describe a service which will arrive at a particular destination, such as the "Atlantic City run."

I removed entries that had no article to link to, or which were self-promoting and/or non-notable:

  • Run is the name of a single by Snow Patrol.
  • Run is a Music Genre and Lifestyle established by the New Jersey group Fretwide. Established 2001.

Please read the Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(disambiguation_pages) before trying to "fix" this cleanup. Chris the speller 05:24, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Snow Patrol song should definitely stay on this article: it is a popular song in the UK; Leona Lewis' cover of it is even more popular. F W Nietzsche (talk) 12:46, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Running DAB page

[edit]

There's now a DAB page for running (disambiguation), which seems like a bit of a mess - 3 different pages for essentailly the same word? I'm not sure what to do. WLU 20:49, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
