Copy and Paste?
[edit]The text of this article describes R-Aquarii as a Red Giant star, whereas the table gives values for it's mass, radius and luminosity which would suit for red dwarf stars. It seems that the table has been copy/pasted from somewhere without verifying the contents. --Andi47 (talk) 16:40, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, there was one editor who entered invalid data such as that on a large number of star articles. The data should really be removed or replaced with cited data.—RJH (talk) 18:13, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Distance R Aqr
[edit]The source given by Gaia for the distance to R Aqr is an automatic generated result, which is based on the assumption that R aqr is a single star. But this is not the case for R Aqr, because the components move, the red giant is extended, and circumstellar emission interferes with the determination of the star's position. That's why the GAIA distance isn't correct, and this value certainly can't simply be adopted. The distance should be taken from a different paper like: Accurate parallax measurement toward the symbiotic star R Aquarii, where they taken into account that the target is a symbotic star. 51.154.43.165 (talk) 10:41, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
