Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Rest is good.

Recording and production

[edit]
  • Despite not returning to the mountainous Allaire Studios where recording for Heathen took place, the urban New York City served as an influence on the new material. Why "Despite"? Does it mean that where the music on Heathen was influenced by the mountainous terrain surrounding Allaire Studios, Reality was instead influenced by the urban environment of Looking Glass Studios? If so, it could be reworded to make that distinction clearer.
  • Yep exactly. Reworded.
  • The rest reads well. It's great there's so much detail available regarding his later work.

Music and lyrics

[edit]
  • Compared to its predecessor ... should be clarified as Compared to its predecessor Heathen ..., unless we're talking about some other album.
  • Done
  • ... encased the song with new chords. Is "encased" a rhetorical flourish or does it mean something specific? I'm not really sure what it means here.
  • Changed to 'used'

Release

[edit]
  • What's BowieNet?
  • ope, his website at the time, clarified

Tour

[edit]
  • That first sentence ... tour, tour, tour, tour. Try rewording to avoid repetition – I think splitting it in two may help as well.
  • Couldn't agree more. Also realized it said "to become" like twice, which is definitely a no-no. Done

Aftermath and legacy

[edit]
  • Bowie underwent a procedure for a blocked artery known as angioplasty on 26 June, which was announced to the public in July 2003. Is the year a typo? I take from the context that it should be July 2004.
  • Yep typo, fixed
  • ... citing a familiar sound is familiar ... Huh?
  • Definitely a typo, fixed
