English names
[edit]In my mind, the only authoritative source on official English names for these regions is Statistics Iceland, they use the names:
- Capital region
- Southwest
- West
- Westfjords
- Northwest
- Northeast
- East
- South
I propose using these on Wikipedia rather than the current names that are unofficial translations by users. For disambiguation I also propose adding "region" with a lower-case R to the names and Iceland in parentheses if necessary. --Bjarki (talk) 09:33, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
