The definition here is hard to understand. When phrases are elided isn't the final note of one phrase the beginning note of the second phrase?

Is not elide or elision sometimes used (in a singing - that is, musical - context) to describe the slurring or sliding from a lower tone to a higher tone? 68.124.188.158 01:29, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
