Sequel Category??
[edit]Given that the distributors of this film overtly deny this is a sequel to Bridge on the River Kwai and the character set is differently named, I dispute this belongs in the Category Sequel films. Please give an explanation here, or in a few more days I will delete it again.--WickerGuy (talk) 15:45, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
In particular, the main reason this film hasn't been released in America or Canada is that the American owners of the earlier Bridge claim this IS a sequel, while the makers of this film insist it is NOT a sequel. The lawsuits have dragged on over the years. For WP to categorize this as a "sequel" film is to take a specific side in an ongoing controversy, for which it would seem the default benefit-of-the-doupt position would be that is it not a sequel. I therefore urge removal of this article from the category "sequel films".--WickerGuy (talk) 17:26, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
