I am still bemused as to why aestheticism, "public stiffness", and aloofness would garner the sobriquet "Arias Cardinal Calderon", but even if it does, you need the proper diacritics for Calderón in every mention of the name.

Vice presidency

This is merely a suggestion, but I suggest you add information about the selection of Calderón, if possible.

I don't have that available, unfortunately. As the article notes, Calderon was president of a party that was a member of an anti-Noriega coalition, so presumably his VP selection helped appeal to that party of the coalition--but I don't have specifics. -- Khazar2 (talk) 17:23, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"...a long-time opponent of the US presence in Panama..." The post-invasion presence, or the in media res-invasion presence? I am sure he was supportive of the invasion.
