[edit]The redirect to Studding sail was not really appropriate - most writers say that a ringtail is "like" a studding sail, not a type of. There are a few exceptions to this, but they appear less authoritative - they certainly ignore the labour-saving "topsail" version of a ringtail. More to go with this article - really need some illustrations, but they will be tough to find. ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 19:52, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
