Hmmm

[edit]

I borrowed most of the structure for this article (my first) from the Rio PMP300 page. I'll try adding more details tomorrow. -MonoNexo 09:08, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Firmware and software

[edit]

The firmware update to enable a Rio 500 to play Audible format files and use 128 meg SmartMedia cards can be downloaded here. http://www.rioworld.org/rio500-new.htm. [As of Feb 2009 this site has been usurped by domain squatters.] There's also several 3rd party programs for uploading and downloading audio and non-audio files. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bizzybody (talkcontribs) 10:31, 27 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

USB Connection

[edit]

Whoever wrote that section has not actually seen the player firsthand. A Mini-B connector does not fit; I tried that. The connector is 100% proprietary. Source: I own one. If you want to get a picture or something (warning: I am not a good photographer!) you can email me at laserhawk64@gmail.com. I'm not signing up for an account here because I have no real interest in editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.199.238.86 (talk) 19:47, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT 26 August 2016, by OP of this section. Thank you, whoever fixed the article. I appreciate that :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.193.56.239 (talk) 21:26, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
