The original note, asking readers to go to Chalvington with Ripe, is unnecessary. The village is stand-alone; it is the civil parish that is a combination of the two villages. Merge proposal

In accordance with [1] the Wikipedia notes on writing about settlements, one of the recommendations is that, in order to reduce the number of stubs, villages and other settlements within a civil parish should be in one article.
