After Robinton's death people on Pern were absolutely flabbergasted just like Americans after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Maybe McCaffrey wrote this after the impressions she had on JFK's death.

While I totally get what the author (211.29.66.211) was shooting for here, it seemed wrong and ... too conjectural. -- Ipstenu 22:00, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
