Incomplete tag
[edit]I tagged this page as incomplete because I think its scope is too narrow and must be expanded greatly. Also, I think the terminology on the page is not exactly correct. Some specific concerns:
- I think this page spun off of the Microsoft Robotics Studio page so it seems to describe a 'robotics suite' as exactly Microsoft Robotics Studio. In no way would i say that all or even most robotics suits include some visual programming aspects and web-based interfaces.
- This page, (or some new pages) should make the distinction between 'robot software platforms' that are software architectures specifically for programming robots, and 'robot simulators'. These simulators may even be broken down further to 2D, 3D, physics based, agent oriented... Maybe this page should even be merged with robot software.
- There are many robot software platforms and robot simulators available now and each should have at least some mention on this page, if not full pages of their own. In the future, we may even want to have a comparison page.
The 2 references i posted on the article page provide a nice overview of these topics. --- BAxelrod (talk) 04:30, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
