don't merge IPX and LX.

IPX is a sun4c and has radically different design, IOMMU contexts and sbus setup. Incompatible processors with the LX which is sun4m.

Seriously.. very very different machines. Well.. maybe not if you say "they are all in a small square box of similar dimensions" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.168.106.176 (talk) 07:43, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, if anything were to be merged, it definitely wouldn't be with 4c/IPX/etc. Since there isn't any discussion here, I'm going to remove the "merge" suggestion on the article. The Deviant (talk) 16:31, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, I just realized, someone basically cut/pasted the SPARCclassic page into this one. I propose merging LX into the classic page, as they are virtually identical (differences can be explained in a paragraph - OH WAIT, they already are. I think this article could be deleted and linked to SPARCclassic. The Deviant (talk) 16:41, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

merge[edit]

Should all the sun4c machines be in one article (with redirects), and all sun4m in another? Then there is sun4 (original), and sun4u. But yes, as I understand it, LX and classic are very similar. Gah4 (talk) 19:39, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
