Images, anyone?
[edit]I can't find any images of the Mataafa that are freely available, and I can't exactly go photograph a ship scrapped forty years ago, so I would much appreciate any images to put here. - Lord Vargonius (talk) 15:20, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- There were 109 year old images of this online from an historical society, which were used since they should be outside any copyright restrictions. I uploaded one to commons, but can't get the box in the upper right to recognize the image. =/ Thegreatdr (talk) 00:53, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]Added the infobox as requested by the WikiProject ships user. Will go about trying to fill it. - Lord Vargonius (talk) 16:22, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Name taken from Second Samoan Civi War?
[edit]Does anyone know the source of the ship's name? Mata'afa is a Samoan title, and the Second Samoan Civil War ended in 1899, the same year that the ship was named. TomLuTon (talk) 21:01, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
