Sainik Samachar is the official journal of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Sainik Samachar traces its descendants from Fauji Akhbar founded in 1909. It the only magazine for the Armed Forces that is being published in 13 languages including English. Sainik Samachar celebrated its 100 years of existence befittingly in New Delhi. A commemorative Coffee Table Book title 'Soldiering On..' was published during the celebrations.

This article intends to give a broad idea about Sainik Samachar to the rest of the world. Every attempt has been taken to ensure only the fact about the Journal is mentioned. This article is not intended to generate any publicity.
