SAJC and blogging

Is the issue about SAJC students being suspended by their principal for blogging nasty stuff about their teachers news-worthy enough to add it to the section? Cmyk 05:46, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Also, wouldn't it be better if each school has its own page? Merging them together makes everything abit constrained. Furthermore, how many students actually go through 12 years in St Andrew's? The numbers are definitely not significant enough to warrant a merged page. And MOE still sees them as 3 separate entities isn't it? Cmyk 05:50, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Originally, the schools had their own separate pages. However, some people came along and put up SAJS for VfD. The majority voted for SAJS to be merged with the St. Andrew's School article. I took the intiative to merge information from all three schools into one page so that those people would not bother any of the three articles again. I think for now it would be best to keep the article as it is since it has not been expanded enough. When the time comes, I think it would be justified to separate them as they should be. Haven't heard about the suspension. Any idea what blog sites they were? haha...

This was part of the article which came out on 27th Sept 2005 Straits Times cover page. Considering it came out on the front page of the national papers, I would think it would be an issue worth mentioning. It preceeded the whole racist blogger stuff. And the blogging about SAF thing. Problem is they initially did NOT say it was SAJC, they just said it was a junior college. Yes having a separate website for each school is good, though references to each of them as being part of the St. Andrew's family of schools should be made too. It should not be merged. After all, RI and RJC each have their own sites, and merging content from 3 schools will overload this page...

There should be more information on the different uniforms of each school, the facilities, the school culture and the much hyped Saints Spirit. It is weird why the famous Rugby team hasn't been mentioned, since the SA team is basically one of the best there is.

I initially created separate sites for these schools (with not much content) but somehow they were merged by someone. Usually I just create a link to a new page from the current page. The link will bring me to a new page for me to post whatever information I want. But since everything gets redirected, I don't know how to create a new page either. Anyways, just add information to the current page first, and pictures, then we separate the pages later. I don't even know how to post entries in the discussion page. Whatever I post the time and userid doesnt show up. So no one knows that its me who posted something in the discussion page. Are you from the junior, secondary school or jc?

SEPARATE PAGES

Can we please have separate pages for the 3 schools. I mean its against wikipedia's policy of having long articles right. How can anyone feel like contributing more info about one school when the page is getting too long. Its logical to have separate pages. ACS and SAS are similar schools. Lets follow ACS's article for a start. ACS's articles are so detailed. SAS's are so pathetic.

The links to the main article for each of the 3 schools is already created. Just visit the main article for each of the school and start contributing information. We shall streamline the format of the articles later. Now its the collection of information phase. hehe... Ignoramus
