Dr. Cecchetti's comment on this article[edit]

Dr. Cecchetti has reviewed this Wikipedia page, and provided us with the following comments to improve its quality:

This entry is very poorly written. It requires technical editing in order to make it readable. For example, the first sentence states:

"Self-fulfilling crisis refers to a situation that a financial crisis is not directly caused by the unhealthy economic fundamental conditions or improper government policies, but a consequence of pessimistic expectations of investors."

I would have written:

"Self-fulfilling crisis is a term used to refer to a financial crisis that is not directly caused by poor economic fundamental conditions or bad government policies, but is a consequence of investors’ pessimistic expectations."

Later in the piece there are things the following, which is not a sentence:

"Self-fulfilling crisis is a mechanism of crisis which highlights the role of expectations."

This level of imprecision makes the piece sufficiently difficult to understand that I cannot comment further.

We hope Wikipedians on this talk page can take advantage of these comments and improve the quality of the article accordingly.
