Ed Roman Links Returning 404 Errors
[edit]The various links to "Set-Through neck" guitar models produced by Ed Roman in Las Vegas are broken and returning 404 errors. Ed Roman himself passed away in 2010 and both the guitar manufacturing operation and the website have since been re-tooled. The links should be removed or repaired. I'm sorry but I don't personally feel comfortable doing that work. ALL links in the article should be checked- external URLs change constantly and Wikipedia is plagued with broken hyperlinks.
Also- (FWIW) Ed Roman himself was a long-time advocate of not only the Set-Through neck as described in the article, but also a variation of the bolt-on neck that involves threaded inserts in the neck and actual bolts instead of just using wood screws, as most manufacturers do. Ed's version of the bolt-on did eliminate the issue of the neck wood "stripping out" if the neck was taken on and off the instrument multiple times, and at least in theory it could produce a tighter, more stable neck joint.
