Plot synopsis is badly in the wrong style[edit]

Set the Thames on Fire[edit]
The opening paragraph says the title of the movie comes from a line in a song by Tom Waits, but the reference given is merely to the song, not to anything backing up that it comes from that song. The phrase was used in "Princess Ida" by Gilbert and Sullivan in 1884, "They intend to send a wire/to the moon (to the moon)/and they'll set the Thames on fire/very soon (very soon) … " so there's no reason to think it couldn't have come from that if there's no source stating otherwise. G&S have been around quite a while longer and are a bit more famous, after all. WordwizardW (talk) 05:03, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
