Sentence needs rewriting for accuracy and clarity

[edit]

Under the heading "Pavilions" it states "Three large voids are cut into the towers..." (emphasis added). This is an unsatisfactory way of describing the forms, as it implies that they were first constructed and then portions of them were removed ("cut into"), which is obviously not the case; the voids were designed from the beginning, and simply left without structures or in-fills in those places. There are many ways this could be more accurately expressed, and I would invite editors to suggest what they think would be the closest to ideal, with which to replace the existing phrase.
