Wasn't this also used in "Mean Streets"?

discrepancy[edit]

if it was used in mean streets (1973) and darren aronofsky's films (90's) how could the mick jagger video (2001) be its "first notable use"?

I just saw The Fountain - and don't remember this device being used anywhere in it. That would mean that "all of his films" is incorrect.

Looks like this was fixed to "trademark," but as he didn't appear to use it in The Wrestler either, this would be incorrect as well. I've removed the comment, but I noted that both Pi and Requiem did use the effect HEAVILY.Kingdomcarts (talk) 06:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MTV[edit]

Is this the same camera that was used on MTV's "Fear"?

"Problems" section[edit]

I removed this section. It had no citations. The phrase "often causing viewers to become violently ill" needs medical support. The sentence "for this reason, SnorriCams need to be used sparingly" is absolutely not NPOV. Comparing the effect to a boat rocking may as well compare it to a flash-back sequence, and to follow up with a matter-of-factly "This is precisely why boat scenes are shot in a studio" is an irrelevant tangent. I noted the feeling of vertigo in the intro. Sorry for being so bold, but this wasn't wiki quality.Kingdomcarts (talk) 06:48, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Black Swan[edit]

I saw this film yesterday and although I looked for the snorri cam, I didn't recognize a single shot done with this rig. If it appears in this film it surely can't be marked as an "extensive use" (like in "Requiem for a Dream"). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kommitanz (talkcontribs) 07:34, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Psycho[edit]

Someone added Psycho to the list of films. I guess that's supposed to be the scene where Arbogast falls down the stairs after being stabbed. That's a similar idea, but it wasn't done with a SnorriCam. It was a rear-projection process shot[1].

RETITLE ARTICLE[edit]

This Wiki article should be titled either to either Chestcam, Bodymount Camera, Bodycam or Bodymount, not with a brand name. It is misleading, and historically inaccurate. The brand names (including Doggicam) should redirect to this page, rather than having their own pages. This should begin with a general description of the camera style, which was in use for many decades preceding the Snorricam. There could then be a Snorricam section and Doggicam section.

This article makes it seem as if these Snorri brothers "invented" something, and then references movies that pre-date their particular creation, stating the "Snorricam" was used in those movies...when it was not. Those earlier movies used something more akin to the Doggicam, if anything. Bainst (talk) 06:58, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
