Add History and Global use

This article would be much enhanced, if the history and development of Soil conservation was included. It also needs discussion of how Soil conservation use varies around the world, and how the techniques have spread around the world. Lentower (talk) 02:19, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

The video is very informative, but the caption doesn't seem right. Is it a typo or is it what the product is actually called? Firezzasd (talk) 16:14, 12 March 2020 (UTC)

Soil in non-agricultural settings

Hi Wikipedians! Thank you for making this article clear and easy to understand. I have a few suggestions:

First off, this article has a strong focus on the agricultural side of soil conservation (which makes sense from a human-centric point of view). I know that there is research being done on soil conservation in natural areas, as well as in areas that are being restored from agricultural to natural ecosystems. Adding information on this could be beneficial. (For instance, there are some forest ecosystems where earthworms are the main issue -- not the solution. See the work of Dr. Lee Frelich from the University of Minnesota Center for Forest Ecology.)

Secondly, the section on "Soil-conservation farming" is supported by only one source. This is a growing field with more and more research. This section would benefit from an update with more content and more sources. (Have you ever heard of forest farming?)

Thank you for all of your hard work Wikipedians! --Skezmoh (talk) 06:48, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
