M2 Memory support

[edit]

On Sony pages [1] and [2] only 4GB M2 cards listed as supported cards (and only 2GB on [3]). I wrote to Sony Ericsson Support team, but they can not give me answer. Similar problem with W350i: compare [4] and [5] (4GB versus 16GB).
On this site [6] specified: "Our w200i memory cards are fully compatible with the Sony Ericsson w200i up to 4GB Micro M2."

SanDisk support recommend only 2Gb and 4Gb cards for w200i: [8]--Vladislav Pogorelov (talk) 03:19, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Companies recommending supported M2 size as being 2GB or 4GB may be doing it for their own good rather than the customers' since the W200i obviously has phone book backup issues with M2 cards larger than about 512M. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.81.145.112 (talk) 22:22, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, I put in a SanDisk 8 GB card, and it appears to work just fine — but I guess that qualifies as original research...--92.195.62.130 (talk) 04:14, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Paragraph Removal

[edit]

I removed the following paragraph today. Needs major cleanup, bias removal, referencing.

This mobile comes along with a free 128 MB M2 memory card, a data cable, a charger, a 780mAh battery and a handsfree kit with bass reflex earphones.Earphone's are good value for money and sound is decent but nothing to be excited about. They are made in earbud design raither than other Sony Ericsson noise canceling earphones which is plus for users that need to hear sound around them(bicycle riding etc...)Thay are comparable with earphones that comes with Nokia N73 phone considering qualty and loudness. There is option to connect any standard 3,5mm headphones to headset which is definitly plus becouse you can chose which earphones you will use and you are not restricted to Sony Eriscsson original earphones. The phone has a flight mode for using the Walkman functions only. The phone can read html pages, txt documents using the standard Sony Ercisson browser, with limitation of maximum page size of 500kb. The phone is compatible with the Opera Mini software.

Model Number

[edit]

Does this model have a direct successor? If so, perhaps a link would be appropriate. Also what does the letter after the model number mean? i.e. W200i vs W200a? CoW mAnX (talk) 23:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This model does not have a direct successor. It's still in production. And the letters? Those are used to denote specific market models (example: a for American market), as shown in this section of the Sony Ericsson article. Devrit 00:15, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
