Here are the issues I found:

Blair Athol currently links to a disambiguation page. DONE
"St. Gatien went on to become a dominant stayer," is stayer racing jargon? if so link, it not then reword.DONE
"St Gatien’s, bred by Major E. Brace," St. Gatien DONE
Does St. Gatien have a period or not? Both are used interchangeably, try to keep them consistent. DONE
"fee of 3 guineas.[9]" spell out three GUINEAS DONE
"On November 19 1884 The Rover" make sure dates are in dmy format since it's a British horse.DONE
"most of his races by Charles Wood who won the" comma after Wood DONE
"£500. [11]" rm space there DONE
"The customary huge crowd was in attendance, despite the “cold and cheerless” weather." should be cited
"entry"-[16] apparently" should be a comma instead of a dash. DONE (added second dash so they work parenthetically)
Generally, titles in references should not be in all caps. DONE

Dealt with issues as above BUT we have a (hopefully temporary) problem as the paperspast.natlib.govt.nz website is down. I couldn't, therefore, verify the "cold and cheerless" quote, although I'm pretty sure it's from reference 13. Tigerboy1966 06:39, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The site worked for me, and it was in fact in Ref 13 so I added it in. Here are the rest of my concerns:

The first paragraph in After Epsom gets a bit jargony, namely I keep seeing settled, but not sure what that means since it seems to be used a couple different ways. ~~SEE BELOW~~ DONE
"entered in the St Leger, did" St. Leger DONE
"placing his future as a racehorse, in considerable doubt." rm comma DONE (there was an extra phrase after the comma which I remove, but forgot to update the punctuation)
"St. Gatien made a good recovery, and made his debut" made a full recovery sounds a bit better.DONE
"h. [2]" rm space DONE
"who won inpressively by" impressively DONE
"until the summer 1890 when" summer of DONE

Thanks for your comments. I'm working on the jargon. This is a weakness of mine as I tend to use phrases which would be instantly comprehensible to racing fans but confusing to non-specialists. Historical articles like this one add an extra layer of terminology, so I have to be careful. Should be done by tomorrow. Tigerboy1966 19:39, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
