Talk:String quintet repertoire

I decided to move the "viola" quintets up not just because the viola sounds higher than the cello but also because that format has more 'great' exponents than the "cello" quintet format: six by Mozart, one by Bruckner, versus one by Schubert. The ones by Boccherini could very well be string symphonies rather than string quintets. James470 (talk) 02:14, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Boccherini[edit]

Sorry about the Boccherini mess... I can revert that and repaste that into a sandbox if anyone would like. Any ideas how to deal with that? The list is a little long for this type of page. I'd like to add subsections to the List of compositions by Luigi Boccherini if the G-numbers allow for it (see talk page there). CHeers, DavidRF (talk) 23:27, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
