Sultanate of Nugaal is not Dervish State[edit]

I am totally surprised by the "easy redirect" of user MiddayExpress. There it is a clear reference on "link" about the existence of this sultanate (and even the name of the sultan).--Signdrawn (talk) 03:50, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely hope that isn't you Bruno/Dulio. That said, the article is complete original research. For starters, the "Sultanate of Nugaal" did not exist nor was Muhammad Abdullah Hassan (the "Mad Mullah") even from that region (Nugaal). That was just one of the many areas his Dervish State came to rule/subdivisions of it. It therefore instantly fails the WP:NOTABILITY policy. Secondly, the sources you've cited likewise do not once mention anywhere any such "Sultanate of Nugaal" ([1], [2], [3]). In fact, one of them clearly explains that it was under Dervish (Daraawish) rule: "By assigning the Nugaal Valley to Daraawiish rule, Italy planned to eliminate the threat of the Daraawiish influence in their dominion in Benaadir". That was what the Mad Mullah's men were known as: the Dervishes. The article is thus a POV-fork of the Dervish State page, and POV-forks of existing articles are, of course, not permitted:

A point of view fork is an attempt to evade the neutrality policy by creating a new article about a subject that is already treated in an article, often to avoid or highlight negative or positive viewpoints or facts. POV forks are not permitted in Wikipedia.

Bottom line, the Dervish State is the actual polity. The "Sultanate of Nugaal" isn't nor do the sources even indicate it is; it was just one of the many territories that fell under Dervish rule (fyi, even a film was made about the famous Dervishes and their dominion).
