An editor keeps removing the following, which he originally called "trivia": ---

The city has many French colonial style official buildings, villas and shop-houses.

Plans to build a bridge over the Mekong, connecting Thakhek to Nakhon Phanom, are progressing. Construction is set to begin in 2008 and will take three years to complete. This is the third bridge connecting Laos and Thailand, after the ones between Vientiane and Nong Khai, and Savannakhet and Mukdahan provinces. ---

Not seeing how that's trivial at all. Based upon the editor's short but disruptive edit history of removing content and sources and then prodding/nominating for deletion, it would not surprise me if this were part of a plan to make the article look shoddy to grease the way to a delete vote. I agree with you although I can see where the other editor is coming from. These are isolated facts that together do not aid a complete understanding of the subject. More context to these statements would help with this. Too many random snippets of information with no underlying structure would indeed be trivia, but this article is a stub and needs all the information we can get. Snipping substantive material is only appropriate when we have a surplus of material and need to be selective in order to present a comprehensible overview of the subject. That clearly isn't the case here. CrispMuncher (talk) 17:37, 3 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]
